So many people found it difficult to understand the procedure. So here I am with the recipe again. Sarbat is all time favorite to all. Sometimes it feels like having sarbat and then you don’t have either lemon or time to make it. In such cases this syrup will be handy for you.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Lemon juice

Instructions

Step 1: Heat up a pan on medium heat and add sugar and water.

Step 2: Mix well and cook the mixture on medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

Step 3: When the sugar dissolves completely, turn the heat to low and cook the syrup for 10 minutes more.

Step 4: When you check the consistency of the syrup, when the last drop falls off the spoon a thread is formed. It means the syrup is ready.

Step 5: Turn off the gas and let the syrup cool down completely.

Step 6: Add the lemon juice and mix well. The mixture should be homogenous. Limbu sarbat syrup is ready.

Step 7: While making the sarbat mix syrup, salt and water well together.

Notes

  • We need 2 thread consistency syrup. If there are sugar crystals formed along the edge of the pan, then it’s okay. Make sure you don’t undercook the syrup. The syrup should be thick.
  • Store the syrup in a glass jar in freeze.
  • You can add cumin powder or mint leaves or sabja seeds according to your choice in it.
