So is a real quick recipe. Lima beans are rich in proteins, fiber and other nutrients. Specially these are good source of iron!! This can be a good lunch box option too!!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Fresh Pavta seeds
  • 1/4 cup Peanuts
  • 1/4 cup grated dry Coconut
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • Coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 finely chopped Onion
  • 1 tsp Sunday masala
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 peeled and chopped Potato
  • Water as needed

Pavta rassa bhaji

Instructions

Step 1: Heat up oil in a pan and add pavta seeds.

Step 2: Fry it well for about 3-4 minutes and take them out into a dish.

Step 3: In the same pan add peanuts and roast it well.

Step 4: When the peanuts are almost roasted, add dry coconut and cumin seeds and roast it well together.

Step 5: Turn off the gas and let the mixture cool down.

Step 6: Transfer the mixture into a blender jar and add coriander leaves.

Step 7: Blend it well together and the vatan is ready.

Step 8: Heat up oil in a pan and add garlic paste.

Step 9: Fry it well and add onion.

Step 10: Fry well until onion gets nice golden color.

Step 11: Add the vatan and fry it well together.

Step 12: Add Sunday masala, red chili powder, salt and fry it well together.

Step 13: Add the pavta seeds, potato and mix everything well together. 

Step 14: Add water and mix well.

Step 15: Close the lid and steam on medium heat for 10 minutes. Pavta batata rassa is ready.

Notes

  • You can cook on medium heat until 1 whistle.
  • It goes well with bhakari or chapati.
