Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup + 2tsp Milk
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 1 cup powdered Sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup Maida
  • 1 tsp Eno fruit salt
  • 1~2 tsp Water

Eggless vanilla cake

Instructions

Step 1: Mix milk, oil, vanilla essence and powder sugar and mix well until powdered sugar is dissolved.

Step 2: Sieve maida into the wet mixture and mix well.

Step 3: Mix well until the batter gets smooth consistency.

Step 4: Add Eno fruit salt and water mix in quickly.

Step 5: Line up a cake tin with butter paper at the base and pour the batter into it.

Step 6: Tap the tray well an spread the batter evenly.

Step 7: Preheat the oven at 180 Deg C for 5 minutes and bake the cake on 180 Deg C for about 35-40 minutes.

Step 8: Check the cake with a tooth pick. If it comes out clean it means the cake is baked well.

Step 9: Take the tray out and cover it with a clean cotton cloth or napkin.

Step 10: Let the cake cool down for about an hour.

Step 11: Loosen the edges with the help of knife and flip the tray over a dish.

Step 12: Remove the butter paper and vanilla cake it ready.

Notes

  • You can use butter or ghee in place of oil.
  • You can use milk in place of water.
  • If you want to bake the cake in cooker then remove the whistle and rubber ring of the cooker. Close the lid and preheat the cooker on high heat for 5 minutes. Place a stand in the cooker and the cake tin on it. Close the lid and bake the cake on medium heat for 30-35 minutes.
