Ingredients

  • 500 gm Maida
  • 250 gm powdered Sugar
  • 150 grams Milk powder
  • 100 grams Corn flour
  • 20 grams Baking powder
  • 10 grams Baking soda
  • 10 grams GMS powder
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 cup Cake premix
  • 2~3 drops Vanilla essence

Instructions

  • Take maida in a bowl and add powdered sugar, milk powder, corn flour.
  • Mix everything well together.
  • You can add 20 grams vanilla powder if you want.
  • You also can use essence later while making the cake.
  • Sieve the mixture at least 2-3 times through strainer.
  • You can make 900-950 grams or near about 1 kg premix using all these ingredients.
  • You can store this in air tight container for about 3-4 months.
  • You can make around 6-7 cakes from this premix in 6” baking tray.
  • For making cake we need to preheat the cooker.
  • For that remove the whistle and rubber ring form the lid.
  • Close the lid and preheat the cooker on medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  • Take oil in a bowl and add water.
  • You can use soft butter that is at room temperature in place of oil and milk in place of water.
  • Mix oil and water really good.
  • Add cake premix and mix well.
  • Add vanilla essence and mix well.
  • Take 6” baking tray and line it up with butter paper at the base.
  • Transfer the cake batter into the tray and tap it really good.
  • Take the preheated cooker and place a stand at the base.
  • Place the cake tin on the stand and close the lid.
  • Bake the cake on medium heat for about 25-30 minutes.
  • Turn off the gas and let the cake be in the cooker for another 10 minutes.
  • Open the cooker and check with tooth pick.
  • If it comes out clean it means the cake is baked well.
  • Let the cake cool down completely.
  • Loosen the edges and flip it over into a dish.
  • Vanilla cake is all ready.
