Ingredients

  • 1 cup Wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup Ghee
  • Dry nuts (10~12 Almonds and Cashew nuts)
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • Cardamom powder

Aate ka halwa

Instructions

Step 1: Heat up a pan on medium heat and add wheat flour.

Step 2: Rost it well on medium heat until nice aroma begins to release and the color changes to light golden.

Step 3: Add ghee and dry nuts and roast it together for another 7-8 minutes. Leave some ghee to use later.

Step 4: In another pan add water and sugar and boil it together until sugar dissolves.

Step 5: When sugar dissolves and water comes to boil, turn off the gas.

Step 6: When ghee begins to float over the mixture, it means that the wheat flour is roasted well.

Step 7: Turn the heat to very low and add a little sugar water at a time and mix well.

Step 8: Add the leftover ghee and mix well.

Step 9: Add cardamom powder and mix well. Kada prasad is ready.

Notes

  • You can use 1/4 cup ghee if you want.
  • You can serve it as breakfast too.
