Ingredients

Bharit

  • 2 Bharatachi vangi
  • Green chilies
  • Garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped Onion
  • Finely chopped Spring onion
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves

Rodga

  • Bajra flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Hot Water

Vangyache bharit

Instructions

Bharit

Step 1: Wash and dry vangi well.

Step 2: Make 4-5 slits to vangi and check inside.

Step 3: Insert green chilies in some slits and garlic cloves in others.

Step 4: Roast the vangi well from all sides on gas.

Step 5: Take the roasted chilies and garlic out and peel the roasted vangi.

Step 6: Add garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and mash the roasted vangi, garlic and green chilies well together.

Step 7: Add onion, spring onion, coriander leaves and mix everything well together. Bharit is all ready.

Rodga

Step 8: Mix bajra flour and salt well and add hot water.

Step 9: Mix well and knead the dough.

Step 10: Divide the dough into small portions and take one of them.

Step 11: Knead it really good and make it smooth and even.

Step 12: Pat it between your palms to make a little thick rodga.

Step 13: Heat up a pan on medium heat and transfer the rodga on it.

Step 14: When lower side is roasted well, flip the rodga over and roast well from other side too.

Step 15: When the rodga is roasted well from both sides take it off on a jali and rodga is all ready.

Notes

  • You can add 1/2 tsp gudh if you want.
  • You can make a little bog rodga id you want.
