Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 1/4 cup grated fresh Coconut
  • 1 cup hot Water
  • 2 tsp Gulkand / Rose petal jam
  • Assorted chopped dry Nuts (Almonds, Pistachios & Cashew nuts)
  • 1 cup Gudh / Jaggery
  • 1 cup Water
  • Cardamom powder
  • Coconut milk (Optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Mix rice flour, salt, fresh coconut and hot water well together in a bowl.

Step 2: Cover and rest the ukad for about 5 minutes.

Step 3: Remove the lid and knead the ukad really good while still hot until it turns nice and soft and keep it aside.

Step 4: Mix gulkand and dry nuts well together and stuffing for dudh ladoo is ready.

Step 5: Roll small balls from it and keep it aside.

Step 6: Take small portion from ukad and make it smooth and even.

Step 7: Make a round ball and press it a little at the center.

Step 8: Fill in the stuffing and bring the edges together.

Step 9: Make a smooth ball from it like rasgulla.

Step 10: Steam the dudh ladoo on medium heat for 10 minutes.

Step 12: For making ras heat up a pan on medium heat and add gudh and water.

Step 13: Mix well and cook until gudh melts.

Step 14: When gudh melts and the mixture begins to boil, turn off the gas and let it cool down a little.

Step 15: Add cardamom powder, coconut milk and mix well.

Step 16: Drop the steamed ladoo into it.

Step 17: Cook the ladoo on medium heat for about 5-6 minutes. Dudh ladoo are ready.

Notes

  • Adding coconut milk is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
  • In that case you can use grated fresh coconut.
  • You can have them as it is hot.
  • If you want then you can chill them in freeze before having.
