Ingredients

  • 3~4 tsp shredded dry Coconut
  • 3~4 tsp roasted Peanut powder
  • 4~5 Garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 medium-size katori Pavata / Lima beans
  • Kanda lasun masala
  • Red chili powder
  • 1 medium-size peeled and chopped Potato
  • Water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • In a blender jar take a dry coconut, roasted peanut powder, garlic cloves, and blend everything in the mixer.
  • Vatan or masala for sabzi is ready.
  • Heat up 2 tsp oil in a pan.
  • Add cumin seeds, pavata nd fry for about 5-6 minutes.
  • Add kanda lasun masala, red chili powder, and mix well.
  • Add potato and mix well.
  • Fry everything for about 2 minutes.
  • Add water according to the consistency that you want.
  • Cover and cook on medium heat for about 10-12 minutes until batata cooks nicely.
  • Add salt to taste, blended masala, and mix well.
  • Cook everything on medium heat for another 5-7 minutes.
  • No need to cover while cooking now.
  • Pavata batata rassa is all ready.
  • This rassa goes well with hot jawar bhakari, chapatti, fulka.
  • It goes well with rice too.
  • This rassa will serve enough for 4 people.
