Ingredients

  • 1 cup Besan
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Ajwain / Carom seeds
  • Ginger-Garlic-Green chili paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Kanda-Lasun masala
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • Water as needed
  • Bread slices
  • Oil for frying
  • Slit Green chilies

Instructions

Step 1: Mix besan, cumin seeds, ajwain, ginger-garlic-green chili paste, salt, kanda-lasun masala, red chili powder, coriander leaves well together and add a little water at a time to make thick paste. Masala for masala toast is ready.

Step 2: Cut the bread slices into half and take 2 slices.

Step 3: Spread the masala well on the slices from all sides and it is ready to fry.

Step 4: Heat up oil on medium heat in a pan and drop the slices into it.

Step 5: When lower side is fried well, flip the toast over and fry well from other side too.

Step 6: When the bread slices are fried well from both sides, take them out and drain out excess oil.

Step 7: Transfer it into a dish and masala toast is ready.

Step 8: Slit green chilies and fry them in oil.

Step 9: Take it out and sprinkle salt on it.

 

Notes

  • The slices should be well coated with the batter from all sides.
  • Serve masala toast with fried green chilies.
