Bread roll is a very easy and simple recipe. Potato stuffing is stuffed in the bread slice and deep fried. These make a good tea time snack or starter for a party. Ingredients

  • 2 medium size Potatoes
  • Ginger-Garlic-Green chili paste
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • A pinch of Hing / Asafoetida
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • Bread slices
  • Water
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Boil the potatoes and peel these.
  • Mash the potatoes and keep them aside.
  • Heat up oil in a pan. Add hing and ginger garlic green chili paste.
  • You can decide the quantity of the paste according to your taste.
  • Fry the paste for about a minute and turn off the gas.
  • Add turmeric powder and mix well.
  • Add mashed potatoes and salt. Stir well.
  • Add lemon juice, coriander leaves and mix well. Stuffing is already.
  • Do not heat up the mashed potato after adding it in tadka as it will release moisture on heating.
  • Take the bread slices and remove the edges.
  • If you don’t remove the edges then it will be difficult to seal the roll.
  • Take the bread slice and flatten it with the help of a rolling pin.
  • Spread a little water on the slice.
  • Do not use much water just moisten it.
  • Take a spoonful of stuffing and make a roll of it.
  • Stuff the roll at the center of the slice and moisten all the edges with a little water.
  • Seal all the edges and make a nice roll. Keep it aside.
  • Heat up oil in a pan. Drop one by one roll in it and fry on medium to high heat until these turn nice golden from all sides.
  • Keep on turning the roll at the intervals.
  • Take the rolls out into a dish and bread rolls are already.
  • You can serve bread rolls with any chutney.
