Savva kilo Prasadacha Sheera

Today we are making savva kilo prasadacha sheera. Auspicious month Shravan has started. So in this month Satyanarayan puja is organized in almost in each house in Maharashtra. So prasadacha sheera is must. There is a tradition to make this sheera in savva means 1 1/4 proportion i.e. 1 1/4 katori or cup or kilo or any measurement that you use. So I am showing you this recipe in 1 1/4 kilo proportion. You can try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me.

We already have seen 3-4 prasadacha sheera recipes. This is yet another perfect addition to the list. I will share lot many tips and tricks to make perfect prasad. If you use this proportion then you can make 1 1/4 kilo prasad. This turns our nice and soft. No lumps of sheera are formed once it cools down. It looks tempting and tastes super delicious.

This is a very easy and simple recipe. The bananas add more flavor and taste to it. I will suggest to make this dish for ‘Pahili Rasoi’ for newly married girls. This is no fail recipe. I have mentioned what all things should be taken care of to make perfect sheera. You can make this sheera on other days too. It can be a good lunch box option for kids.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 4 sliced ripe Bananas
  • 1/4 kg / 2 cups fine Rava
  • 250 gm Ghee
  • Sliced Almonds
  • Sliced Cashew nuts
  • Raisins
  • 250 ml cow Milk
  • 250 gm Sugar
  • 2~3 Tulsi patra
  • Cardamom powder

Prasadacha sheera

Instructions

Step 1: Heat up a pan on medium heat and add ghee, bananas.

Step 2: Fry bananas well until ghee begins to float on it.

Step 3: Turn off the gas and keep the bananas aside.

Step 4: In another pan heat up ghee and add rava.

Step 5: Fry rava really good on medium heat for about 7-8 minutes until it gets light pink color add almonds, cashew nuts and fry well together.

Step 6: When rava gets pink color add raisins and fry well.

Step 7: When raisins puff up well add hot milk and mix well.

Step 8: Mix well until all the milk is absorbed into rava.

Step 9: Add sugar, bananas, tulsi patra and cardamom powder and mix everything well together.

Step 10: Cover and steam sheera on low heat for 5 minutes until sugar is dissolved.

Step 11: Turn off the gas and prasadacha sheera is ready.

Notes

  • You can use half milk and half water in place of milk.
  • If you cook sheera longer then lumps will be formed once it cools down.
