Rava besan burfi is a very easy and quick recipe. It doesn’t need too many ingredients. It can be made from the ingredients easily available in your pantry. With Diwali round the corner you must be looking for some different and easy burfi reipe. We already have seen few burfi recipes like besan burfi, amba burfi, coconut malai baufi, coconut burfi, naralachi vadi, kaju katli etc. Here is one more addition to the list. We are not making sugar syrup in this recipe. It looks nice and just melts in mouth. You can try this recipe at home.

In Diwali we make lot many different recipes. One of them is burfi. We already have seen different types of ladoos, karanji, chivda shev, shankarpali etc. But this burfi is easy to make as we are not making any sugar syrup in this. It looks nice and turns out nice, crispy/

Ingredients

  • A little less than 1 cup Ghee
  • 2 cups Besan
  • 1/2 cup fine Rava / Suji
  • 1 cup powdered Sugar
  • Cardamom powder
  • Sliced Almonds
  • Sliced Pistachio

Instructions

Step 1: Heat up a pan on medium heat and add ghee, besan, rava.

Step 2: Mix well and roast well on low to medium heat until besan gets nice brown color.

Step 3: Keep on stirring continuously.

Step 4: After roasting for about 10-15 minutes when besan changes color and releases nice aroma add powdered sugar, cardamom powder.

Step 5: Mix everything well together and turn off the gas.

Step 6: Line up a tray with butter paper at the base and spread some dry nuts.

Step 7: Transfer the burfi mixture into it and spread it evenly.

Step 8: Let it set at room temperature.

Step 9: Flip the tray over into a dish and take the burfi out.

Step 10: Remove the butter paper and cut it into pieces.

Step 11: Rava besan burfi is all ready.

Notes

  • You can store it in an airtight container for about 3-4 weeks.
