For making sabudana vada one must soak sabudana overnight or at least 6-7 hours. But today’s recipe is an instant one. These vade turn out nice and crunchy. These are crunchy outside and soft inside. Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sabudana
  • Chopped Green chilies
  • Chopped Ginger
  • 1 medium size peeled & grated Potato
  • Cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • Roasted Peanut powder (Optional)
  • Oil for frying

Instant sabudana vada

Instructions

Step 1: Blend sabudana well in mixer and add green chilies, ginger.

Step 2: Blend it well together into coarse powder and transfer it into a bowl.

Step 3: Add potato, cumin seeds, salt, water and mix well.

Step 4: Cover and rest the mixture for 10 minutes.

Step 5: Add roasted peanut powder and mix well.

Step 6: Roll small vade from the mixture.

Step 7: Heat up oil on medium to high heat in a pan and drop vade in hot oil.

Step 8: When vade are fried well on medium to high heat from lower side flip them over and fry from other side too.

Step 9: When vade are fried well from both sides take them out, drain excess oil and transfer into a dish. Mini sabudana vada is all ready.

Notes

  • You can skip the ginger if you don’t want.
  • Adding peanut powder is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
  • You can serve sabudana vada with spicy green chutney or upwas koshimbir.
