Ingredients

For Tikki

  • 3 boiled Potatoes
  • Finely chopped Capsicum
  • Finely chopped deseeded Tomato
  • Finely grated Carrot
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • 10~12 grated Garlic cloves
  • Chili flakes
  • Mixed herbs
  • Rock salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup Wheat flour
  • Oil for shallow frying

For Sauce

  • 2 tsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Chili sauce

Instructions

For Tikki

Step 1: Peel and grate the boiled potatoes and add capsicum, tomatoes, carrot, coriander leaves, garlic, chili flakes, mixed herbs, rock salt.

Step 2: Mix everything well together and wheat flour.

Step 3: Knead the dough well and rest it for about 10 minutes.

Step 4: Take small portion from the dough and roll it into a square shape.

Step 5: Heat up oil in a pan and transfer the tikkis into hot oil for shallow frying.

Step 6: When lower side is fried well flip over the tikkis and fry well from other side too.

Step 7: When tikkis are fried well from both sides, take them out, drain excess oil and transfer into a dish.

Step 8: Wheat flour tikkis are all ready.

For Sauce

Step 9: Take mayonnaise in a bowl and add chili sauce.

Step 10: Mix well and sauce is all ready.

Notes

  • You can use rice flour or maida or poha powder in place of wheat flour.
  • You can keep the tikki ready previous night.
  • You also can add more wheat flour and make parathe too.
  • You also can stuff cheese in it if you want.
  • You can deep fry the tikkis if you want.
  • You can have it as it is or with sauce.
  • If you want to serve it later then keep them on a jali until they cool down so that these will remain crispy for a long time.
