Ingredients

  • 3 medium size boiled, peeled Potatoes
  • 1/2 cup grated Carrot
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped Capsicum
  • Mixed herbs
  • Chili flakes
  • Garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Bread slice
  • 1/2 cup Corn flour
  • 1/2 cup Maida
  • Salt to taste
  • Water
  • Bread crumbs
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Step 1: Mash the potatoes well with masher and add carrot, capsicum, mixed herbs, chili flakes, garlic, salt.

Step 2: Mix everything well together.

Step 3: Cut the bread into pieces with hands and mix it well into the dough.

Step 4: Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into nugget.

Step 5: For making batter for nuggets take corn flour in a bowl and add maida, salt. Mix well.

Step 6: Add a little water at a time to make thick batter.

Step 7: Dip the nuggets into the batter and coat them well with breadcrumbs. This is single coat.

Step 8: You can go for double coat too.Dip these nuggets into the batter again and coat well with bread crumbs.

Step 9: Heat up oil on medium heat in a pan.

Step 10: Drop nuggets in hot oil and fry well on medium heat.

Step 11: After frying for about 2-3 minutes, rotate them a little and fry well.

Step 12: When nuggets are fried well take them out, drain excess oil and transfer into a dish. Vegetable nuggets are all ready.

Notes

  • You can grate the boiled potatoes if you want.
  • You can add veggies of your choice.
  • You can use pizza seasoning in place of mixed herbs.
  • You can use garlic powder in place of garlic paste.
  • You can blend bread in mixer and use it.
  • You can use bread crumbs or poha powder in place of bread.
  • The double coat will help you to make perfectly cafe style nuggets.
  • You can store these double coated nuggets in freezer for about 3 months or for about 3-4 days in freeze.
