It is also known as besan pola and turns out nice, crispy and crunchy. This is a real quick recipe and tastes just awesome. It doesn’t need many ingredients. It can be made from the ingredients those are easily available in your pantry. You can try this recipe at home.

Ingredients

  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1~2 Green chilies
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Ajwain / Carom seeds
  • Coriander leaves
  • 1 cup Besan
  • 1 tbsp fine Suji
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup Water
  • Oil

Instructions

Step 1: Take garlic, green chilies, cumin seeds, ajwain, coriander leaves in a blender jar and blend into coarse paste. Vatan is ready.

Step 2: Take besan, suji, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt in a bowl and mix well.

Step 3: Add vatan and mix well.

Step 4: Add a little water at a time to make paste.

Step 5: Heat up a pan on medium heat.

Step 6: Grease oil and pour the batter starting along the edge of the pan and finish off at the center.

Step 7: Roast well until lower side gets golden color.

Step 8: Spread a little oil on upper side if you want.

Step 9: Flip over and roast well from other side too.

Step 10: When dhirade is roasted well from both sides take it off into a dish.

Step 11: Besan dhirade is all ready.

Notes

  • You can have as it is or roll it in chapatti and enjoy.
