Today we are making very easy and simple burfi recipe. We are not using any khoya, milk, paneer milk powder in this burfi. This burfi can be easily made from the ingredients easily available in your pantry. It needs just 2 ingredients and turns out perfectly like the one we get in the market. Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Ghee
  • 1 1/2 cup Maida
  • 3/4 cup powdered Sugar
  • Cardamom powder
  • Dry nuts slices

Tasty Maida Burfi

Instructions

  • Heat up ghee in a pan.
  • When ghee begins to melt add maida and roast it well as we roast besan for making ladoo or burfi.
  • You can use wheat flour in place of maida. 
  • After roasting maida in medium heat for about 10-12 minutes when ghee begins to float on maida turn off the gas and let the mixture cool down.
  • When the mixture is a little warm add powdered sugar, cardamom powder and mix everything well together.
  • Line up a tray with butter paper at the base and sprinkle few sliced dry nuts at the base.
  • Butter paper is optional. You can skip it if you don’t have.
  • Transfer the burfi mixture into the tray and spread it evenly.
  • Set it at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  • Do not keep it longer. Or it will be difficult to take burfi out of the tin.
  • Loosen the edges with the help of knife and flip it over into dish.
  • Remove the butter paper and cut in into pieces.
  • Maida burfi is all ready.
