Ingredients

  • 2~3 Garlic cloves
  • Green chili
  • Coriander leaves
  • 1 cup Besan
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Hing
  • Finely chopped Onion
  • 1 finely chopped Tomato
  • 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
  • Shredded dry Coconut
  • 1 tsp Sunday masala
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • Hot Water
  • Salt to taste

Simple chun vadi

Instructions

Step 1: Take garlic cloves, green chili, coriander leaves on a blender jar and blend everything into coarse paste. Thecha is ready.

Step 2: Take besan in a bowl and add thecha, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt.

Step 3: Add a little water at a time and mix well to make thick batter.

Step 4: Beat the batter really good for about 5 minutes. Mixture for making chunvadi is ready.

Step 5: Heat up a pan on medium heat and add oil.

Step 6: Add hing, onion and fry until onion gets nice golden color.

Step 7: Add tomato and mix well.

Step 8: Cover and cook for about 5-6 minutes until tomato is cooked well.

Step 9: Remove the lid and mix well once.

Step 10: Add ginger-garlic paste, dry coconut and mix well.

Step 11: Fry everything well together for about 2-3 minutes.

Step 12: Add Sunday masala, red chili powder and fry everything well together for about 2 minutes.

Step 13: Add hot water, salt and mix well.

Step 14: Bring it to boil.

Step 15: When the mixture begins to boil, drop small balls of besan batter into it.

Step 16: Cover and simmer the rassa for about 7-10 minutes.

Step 17: Remove the lid and turn off the gas.

Step 18: Chunvadi rassa is all ready. 

Notes

  • It goes well with kalanachi bhakari, jwari, bajari bhakari.
  • It goes well with rice too.
  • You can serve it with ladi pav too.
