3 murmura recipes are easy and real quick. We are making 3 different recipes from 3 regions of Maharashtra using murmure. The places are West Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Nashik. This is a very easy and simple recipe. These taste just awesome. These can be perfect evening snacks or good travelling snack option. Murmure are also known as churmure at some places. These are easily available everywhere. We have already have seen few recipes of murmure like bhel, bhadang, sushila etc. These will be delicious addition to the list. You can try these recipes at home.

Murmure are easily available everywhere and lot many dishes can be prepared from them. These are very popular snack dishes. There are lot many variations in making murmura recipes. We are trying to cover different regions of Maharashtra. All these 3 recipes have distinct taste and are very easy to make.

Ingredients

Pashchim Maharashtra special Bhadang

  • 3 tsp Oil
  • Raw Peanuts
  • 1 Garlic peeled & sliced
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp roasted Chana dal
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Hing
  • 3 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • Black salt
  • Bhadang Murmure
  • Salt to taste
  • Powdered Sugar (Optional)

Nashik special Bhel Bhatta

  • Murmure
  • Chivda
  • Kharee bundi
  • Shev
  • Roasted Peanuts (Optional)
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped Onion
  • Finely chopped Tomato
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves

Vidarbha special Kachha Chivda

  • 2 cups Murmure
  • 1 cup very thin Poha
  • Salted Peanuts
  • Roasted Chana dal
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • shev
  • Oil
  • Finely chopped Onion
  • Finely chopped Tomato
  • Finely chopped Coriander leavesKolhapuri Bhadnag

Instructions

Pashchim Maharashtra special Bhadang

Step 1: Heat up oil in a pan and add peanuts.

Step 2: Fry well until peanuts get nice reddish color and take them out into a dish. 

Step 3: In the same oil add garlic and fry until it gets light golden color.

Step 4: When garlic begins to change the color add curry leaves, roasted chana dal and fry until curry leaves turn nice, crunchy.

Step 5: Move all the ingredients along the edge of the pan and add mustard seeds.

Step 6: When mustard seeds pop up add cumin seeds and let it splutter.

Step 7: Turn off the gas and add hing.

Step 8: Mix well and add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, black salt.

Step 9: Mix everything well together.

Step 10: Add bhadang murmure, fried peanuts and mix in quickly.

Step 11: Turn on the gas on very low heat and fry for just 2-3 minutes.

Step 12: Turn off the gas and add salt, powdered sugar.

Step 13: Mix everything well together and bhandag is all ready.

Step 14: When it cools down completely, you can store it in an airtight container.

Nashik special Bhel Bhatta

Step 15: Take murmure, chivda, kharee bundi, shev, roasted peanuts in a dish and mix everything well together.

Step 16: Add red chili powder, salt and mix well again.

Step 17: Add onion, tomato, coriander leaves and mix everything well together. Bhelbhatta is ready.

Vidarbha special Kachha Chivda

Step 18: Take murmure in a bowl and add poha, salted peanuts, roasted chana dal, coriander powder, cumin powder salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, shev, oil.

Step 19: Mix everything well together with the help of your palm. Kachha chivda is all ready.

Step 20: Add onion, tomato, coriander leaves while serving.kachha chivda

 

Notes

  • If you keep the gas on the dry spices may burn. So you are advised to turn off the gas after adding nustars and cumin seeds in bhadang.
  • If you fry bhadnag longer then murmure will lose their shape.
  • Adding powdered sugar is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want in bhadang.
  • Adding peanuts in bhelbhatta is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
  • You can use Jawas oil in kachha chivda in this recipe if you want.
  • You also can add grated garlic in kachha chivda if you like.
