Easy Rava Chocolate Cake

Rava chocolate cake is a very easy simple recipe. We already have seen rava cake, rava fruit cake. Here is another addition to it. This cake turns out nice, spongy, soft and fluffy. This cake doesn’t need too many fancy ingredients. It can be made from very few ingredients those are easily available in your pantry. We are making it in cooker. You can use kadhai in place of cooker. We don’t need microwave for making this cake. Kids will love this cake. You can try this recipe at home.

Kida love cake and if the cake is chocolate then they are over joyed. We are not using maida in this cake and also avoiding use of baking soda. This is a very quick recipe. Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Curd
  • 1/2 cup powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • 1 cup fine Rava / Suji
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened Cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup Maida
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • Chocolate essence
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • Sliced Almonds (Optional)
  • Slices Pistachios (Optional)

Easy rava chocolate cake

Instructions

Step 1: In a bowl take curd, powdered sugar, milk, oil and mix everything well together.

Step 2: Add fine rava, unsweetened cocoa powder, maida and mix well.

Step 3: Add water and mix well.

Step 4: Add chocolate essence and mix well.

Step 5: Rest the batter for about 15-20 minutes.

Step 6: Add baking powder and mix in quickly.

Step 7: Grease a baking tin well with oil and line it up with butter paper at the base.For making cover take desiccated coconut, milk powder and mix well.

Step 8: Pour the batter into the tin and tap it well.

Step 9: Garnish with almonds, pistachios.

Step 10: Preheat the cooker on medium heat for 5 minutes and place a stand at the base.

Step 11: Place the cake tin on the stand and close the lid.

Step 12: Bake the cake on medium heat for about 35-40 minutes.

Step 13: Turn off the gas and let the cake be in the cooker for another 5 minutes.

Step 14: Remove the lid and check with tooth pick.

Step 15: Let the cake cool down completely.

Step 16: Loosen the edges with the help of a knife and flip the tin over into a dish.

Step 17: Rava chocolate cake is all ready.

 

Notes

  • You can skip curd if you don’t want.
  • Garnishing is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
  • You can add a thin layer of salt at the base of the cooker if you want.
  • You can bake the cake in oven at 180 Deg C for about 30-35 minutes.
