Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Garlic greens
  • Coriander leaves
  • 4~5 Green chilies
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • Ajwain
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • Oil as needed

Instructions

Step 1: Wash lasun paat really good and cut off the root part.

Step 2: Remove one upper layer of the paat and chop them roughly.

Step 3: Transfer it into a blender jar and add coriander leaves and green chilies. Blend it into paste and add water.

Step 4: Blend it well into smooth puree and keep it aside.

Step 5: Mix rice flour, blended puree, ajwain, turmeric powder, salt and water.

Step 6: Mix everything well together and batter for aayte is ready.

Step 7: Heat up a skillet on medium heat and spread oil on it. Reduce the heat to low to medium.

Step 8: Mix the batter well once and spread ladleful batter on the hot skillet. Roast it well.

Step 9: When the edge begins to leave the skillet, loosen the edges carefully and take the aayte off on a wire rack. Lasun paat aayte are ready.

Notes

  • You can roast the aayte from other side too for few seconds if you want.
  • You can have the aayte as it is or serve it with some chutney.
