Ingredients

  • 1 cup thick Poha
  • 1/4 cup Corn flour
  • 1/2 medium size finely chopped Cabbage
  • 1 finely chopped Carrot
  • 3~4 finely chopped French beans
  • 1 finely chopped Capsicum
  • 1 finely chopped Green chili
  • 7~8 finely chopped Garlic cloves
  • 1” finely chopped Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp black Pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp Soya sauce
  • 1 tsp Chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped Spring onion
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 7~8 finely chopped Garlic cloves
  • 1” finely chopped Ginger
  • 1 finely chopped Onion
  • 4~5 finely chopped French beans
  • 1/2 finely chopped Capsicum
  • 1/2 finely chopped Carrot
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped Cabbage
  • 1/2 tsp black Pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp Soya sauce
  • 1 tsp Chili sauce
  • Finely chopped Spring onion
  • Water as needed
  • 1~2 tsp Corn flour slurry

Dry manchurian

Instructions

Step 1: Blend poha and corn flour into as fine powder as possible in mixer and transfer it into a bowl.

Step 2: Mix cabbage, carrot, French beans, green chili, garlic, ginger, black pepper powder, salt, soya sauce, chili sauce and spring onion well together in a bowl and add the blended powder.

Step 3: Mix well and make small Manchurian balls from it.

Step 4: Heat up oil in a pan and drop Manchurian balls into it.

Step 5: When the lower side of the balls is fried well on low to medium heat, flip the balls over and fry well from other side too.

Step 6: When the balls are fried well from all sides, take them out, drain excess oil and transfer them into a dish.

Step 7: Heat up oil on high heat in a pan and add garlic.

Step 8: Fry for few seconds and add ginger and fry for few seconds.

Step 9: Add onion and mix in quickly.

Step 10: Add French beans, capsicum and carrot and fry for few seconds.

Step 11: Add salt and mix well.

Step 12: Add cabbage and fry for just about 15-20 seconds.

Step 13: Add black pepper powder, soya sauce, chili sauce and spring onion and mix well.

Step 14: Add water and mix well.

Step 15: Add corn flour slurry and cook everything well together for about 2-3 minutes.

Step 16: Add the Manchurian balls and toss well.

Step 17: Add spring onion and veg Manchurian is ready.

Notes

  • You can use rice flour in place of corn flour. Make sure you don’t skip it.
  • Make sure you don’t use any water at all. Add just enough poha powder so that the veggies get good binding.
  • You can decide the size and shape of Manchurian balls according to your choice.
