Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Roasted chana dal
  • ​1/2 tsp Chaat masala
  • ​1/2 tsp Roasted cumin powder
  • ​1/2 tsp Black salt
  • ​1 Small Ginger piece
  • ​4~5 Garlic cloves
  • ​2~3 Green chilies
  • ​1 cup Coriander leaves
  • ​10~12 Mint leaves
  • ​2~3 Ice cubes
  • ​2 Ladi pav
  • ​2 tbsp Butter
  • ​1 Slice sliced Onion
  • ​1 Slice sliced Tomato
  • ​2 tbsp Tomato sauce
  • ​1 cup Spicy shev

Instructions

 Step 1: Add roasted chana dal, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, black salt, ginger piece, garlic cloves, green chilies, coriander leaves, and mint leaves into a mixer jar. ​

Step 2: Blend into a dry coarse mix without adding water.

​Step 3: Add ice cubes and blend again to form a smooth green chutney.

​Step 4: Cut ladi pav into halves using a serrated knife.

​Step 5: Heat butter on a pan and toast the pav evenly until crisp.

​Step 6: Spread the green chutney generously on one side of the toasted pav.

​Step 7: Place sliced onion and tomato pieces over the chutney.

​Step 8: Spread tomato sauce on the other side of the pav.

​Step 9: Add a generous layer of spicy shev over the vegetables and sandwich the pav together to serve.

Notes

  • Top the assembled Shev Pav with finely chopped fresh coriander leaves, extra spicy shev, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice right before serving.
  • It is a good snack option for kids.
