Dadape pohe is a typical Maharashtrian snack. The main ingredient of this is patal pohe and fresh coconut. You don’t need to cook these poha. Just add tadka to it. This is a very quick and easy recipe. This is another variety of pohe. Let’s make dadape pohe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup patal Pohe
  • 3~4 tbsp grated fresh Coconut
  • 2~3 tbsp finely chopped Onion
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp raw Peanuts
  • A pinch of Asafetida
  • 2 finely chopped Green chillies
  • Curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar

Instructions

  • In a bowl, take patal pohe. You can use leftover patal pohe chivda too.
  • Add grated fresh coconut, onion, coriander and lemon juice. Mix everything well together.
  • Cover and give it a standing time of 30 minutes.
  • Add tadka to pohe. Heat up oil in a pan.
  • When oil is enough hot, add mustard and let it pop up.
  • When mustard pops up, add cumin seeds and them sizzle up.
  • Add peanuts and fry until peanuts turn reddish.
  • Add asafetida, green chillies, curry leaves and turmeric powder.
  • Mix well and pour the tadka on pohe.
  • Add salt and little sugar. Mix well.
  • Dadape pohe are already.
