Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup shredded fresh Coconut
  • 3~4 dry Red chilies
  • A piece of Tamarind
  • 1 cup Rice
  • 2~3 tsp finely chopped Onion
  • Finely shredded Cabbage
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil

Instructions

Step 1: Blend fresh coconut, dry red chilies, tamarind dry first in mixer.

Step 2: Wash rice really good and soak them in enough water for about 6-7 hours.

Step 3: Add soaked rice into the blended mixture and blend everything into a little coarse paste. The paste should have pouring consistency.

Step 4: Transfer the batter into a bowl and add onion, cabbage, coriander leaves.

Step 5: Mix everything well together and add salt.

Step 6: Mix well and batter for sanna polo is ready.

Step 7: Heat up a pan on medium heat and spread oil on it.

Step 8: Add batter into the pan and spread it evenly.

Step 9: Cover and roast on medium heat really good for about 3-4 minutes.

Step 10: Remove the lid and drizzle oil on upper surface.

Step 11: Flip the polo over and roast well from other side too.

Step 12: When the polo is roasted well from both sides take it off on a wire rack. Sanna polo is ready.

  • You can have sanna polo as it is or serve it with dalitoy.
