Ingredients

  • 100 gm dry Anjeer / Figs
  • 50 gm deseeded Dates
  • 2~3 tsp Ghee
  • 1/4 cup Cashew nuts
  • 1/4 cup Almonds
  • 1/4 cup Walnuts
  • 100 gm Pumpkin seeds
  • 2~3 tsp Ghee
  • Silver work

Easy dry fruit roll

Instructions

Step 1: Soak dry anjeer in enough water for at least 30 minutes. Make sure, you use dry anjeer and not fresh ones.

Step 2: Drain all the water from soaked anjeer and transfer it into a blender jar.

Step 3: Add dates and blend it together into smooth paste. Avoid use of water while blending.

Step 4: Heat up ghee in a pan and cashew nuts, almonds, walnuts and sunflower seeds.

Step 5: Heat up ghee in a pan and cashew nuts, almonds, walnuts and pumpkin seeds.

Step 6: Fry everything well together and transfer it into a dish.

Step 7: In the same pan add ghee and the blended paste and fry it well until it comes together like dough for about 10-12 minutes.

Step 8: Blend the fried dry nuts into coarse powder and add it into the cooked mixture.

Step 9: Mix everything well together.

Step 10: Turn off the gas and let the mixture cool down completely.

Step 11: Knead it like dough and divide it into 2 rolls.

Step 12: Make them smooth and even and set them in freeze.

Step 13: Garnish with sliver work and cut into pieces.  Dry fruit rolls are ready. 

Notes

  • If you are using fresh anjeer, then cut off the stem part, peel it and cook the pulp really good in ghee and use that. If you are using fresh anjeer, then no need to soak it.
  • You can use 100 gm dates if you like sweet rolls.
  • You can add flax seeds if you want.
  • You can store it at room temperature for about 15 days and in freeze for about a month.
