Ingredients

  • 1 cup fine Rava / Suji
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tbsp hot Oil
  • Hot Water as needed
  • 2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp black Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Chat masala
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp powdered Sugar
  • Oil for frying

Rava samosa puri

Instructions

Step 1: Mix rava, salt and hot oil well with spoon first and add a little hot water at a time to knead soft dough.

Step 2: Cover and rest the dough for about 15-20 minutes.

Step 3: For making masala for these puri mix red chili powder, black salt, chat masala, cumin powder and powdered sugar well together. Masala is ready.

Step 4: Knead the dough well once and take small portion from it.

Step 5: Make it smooth and even and roll out a poli from it. The poli should be neither too thin or too thick.

Step 6: Cut strips from it and take one of them.

Step 7: Cut each strip into triangles.

Step 8: Heat up oil on medium heat in a pan and drop the triangles into it.

Step 9: Fry the samosa puri well on medium heat until it gets nice golden color from both sides.

Step 10: When the samosa puri is fried well from both sides, take them out, drain excess oil and transfer them into a dish.

Step 11: Sprinkle the masala on it and toss well. Rava samosa puri is ready.

Notes

  • You can decide the shape and size of the puri.
  • Store them in an airtight container when these cool down completely.
