These ladoos are different from your regular rava ladoo or rava coconut ladoo. They turn out nice and soft and they just melt in mouth. Khava adds different taste and flavor to this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fine Rava / Semolina
  • 1/2 cup Ghee
  • 1/2 cup Khava / Mawa/ Khoya
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • Water as needed
  • Few Saffron strands
  • 1 tbsp chopped Cashew nuts
  • 1 tbsp chopped Almonds
  • 1 tbsp chopped Pistachios
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder

Khava rava ladoo recipe

Instructions

Step 1: Roast rava on low heat for about 4-5 minutes and add a little ghee at a time and roast it well together.

Step 2: When rava gets nice pink color and nice aroma is released, take it off the gas and keep aside.

Step 3: Roast khava on low heat until it changes the color a little for about 5-6 minutes. Stir continuously while roasting the khava.

Step 4: For making sugar syrup heat up a pan on medium heat and add mix sugar, water and saffron.

Step 5: Mix well and cook the mixture until single thread consistency syrup is ready for about 4-5 minutes.

Step 6: Transfer the sugar syrup into the roasted rava and add roasted khava, cashew nuts, almonds, pistachios and cardamom powder.

Step 7: Mix everything well together and rest the mixture for about 30-45 minutes.

Step 8: Roll out ladoos from the mixture and garnish with pistachio slices and dry rose petals. Ladoo are ready.

Notes

  • You can blend coarse rava a little in mixer and use that in place of fine rava.
