  • 1 cup / 250 gm Ghee
  • Cardamom powder
  • 300 gm Battasa
  • Sliced Pistachios

1 kilo besan ladoo

Instructions

Step 1: Roast besan on medium heat for about 10 minutes and turn off the gas.

Step 2: Sieve the besan well once through a strainer to remove the lumps from besan.

Step 3: In the same pan add ghee and the besan and mix well.

Step 4: Roast the besan really good on low heat for about 15-20 minutes. Stir the besan continuously while roasting.

Step 5: When the besan gets nice glaze and it comes together like dough, it gets nice golden color, it means the besan is roasted well.

Step 6: Turn off the gas and transfer the besan into a dish.

Step 7: Add cardamom powder and let it cool down a little.

Step 8: Blend the battasa into powder in mixer and transfer it into the besan while it is a little hot.

Step 9: Mix well and roll ladoos from it. Roll it in a little cylindrical shape so that after cooling down it will get perfect round shape.

Step 10: Garnish with pistachio slices and roll them again a little after about 10 minutes so that the shape will remain consistent. Besan ladoo are ready.

Notes

  • Make sure you don't skip the sieving step.
  • You can use dalda or vanaspati ghee in place of ghee.
