Ingredients

  • 100 gm grated dry Coconut
  • 20 gm Poppy seeds
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 100 gm chopped Cashew nuts
  • 100 gm chopped Almonds
  • 100 gm Walnuts
  • 100 gm Melon seeds
  • 100 gm Pumpkin seeds
  • 100 gm Raisins
  • 250 gm chopped seedless dry Dates
  • 3~4 tbsp Ghee

Instructions

Step 1: Dry roast dry coconut on low heat until it gets nice golden color and take it out into a dish.

Step 2: In the same pan dry roast poppy seeds until they begin to pop up like popcorns and gets light brown color and take it out into the roasted coconut.

Step 3: Heat up ghee in the same pan and add cashew nuts.

Step 4: Fry cashew nuts well until they get light brown color and add almonds, walnuts, melon seeds and pumpkin seeds.

Step 5: Mix well and fry it together until the mixture gets light brown color.

Step 6: Add raisins and mix everything well together. Turn the gas off and let the mixture be in the pan only.

Step 7: Transfer the dry dates into a blender jar and pulse it well.

Step 8: Heat up ghee in a pan and add dry dates’ paste.

Step 9: Fry it well on low for just about 5 minutes. Turn the gas off.

Step 10: Transfer the fried dry nuts and dry dates’ paste into a big bowl.

Step 11: Crush the roasted coconut with hand and add poppy seeds and coconut into the bowl.

Step 12: Mix everything well together while the mixture is still hot.

Step 13: Roll the ladoos from the mixture and the ladoos are ready.

Notes

  • You can use the available dry nuts with you and use peanuts and sesame seeds to make for the rest.
  • You can spread the mixture in a tray and let it set. Cut it into pieces to make vadya or make bars from it.
