Ingredients

  • 2 cups thick Poha
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp raw Peanuts
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Hing
  • Curry leaves
  • 2 finely chopped Onions
  • 3 finely chopped Green chili
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar to taste
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves

Pohe recipe in Marathi

Instructions

Step 1: Sieve the poha well and wash them well 3-4 times.

Step 2: Cover and rest the poha.

Step 3: Heat up oil in a pan and add peanuts.

Step 4: Fry peanuts well until they turn reddish and take out in a dush.

Step 5: In the same oil add mustard seeds and let them pop up.

Step 6: When mustard seeds pop up add cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves, onion, green chili and fry well until onion gets light golden color.

Step 7: Add turmeric powder and mix well.

Step 8: Add poha, salt, sugar and mix well.

Step 9: Cover and steam poha on low heat for at least 7-8 minutes.

Step 10: Add coriander leaves and mix well. Kande pohe are all ready.

Notes

  • While serving garnish with coriander leaves, fine shev and fried peanuts and serve a lemon slice along with it.
