This is a traditional, little forgotten recipe. Let’s revive it. Harbhara means chana or or Bengal gram. In this recipe we are using tender harbhara leaves. It is its own sour taste but I am sure you will love it. This bhaji looks tempting and tastes simply delicious. This bhaji is available only in winter. So you must have it at least once.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic-Green chili paste
  • A pinch of Turmeric powder
  • Olya hrbharyachi pane
  • 2 1/2 tsp Besan
  • Water
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tsp roasted Peanut powder

Gargati bhaji

Instructions

Step 1: Heat up oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.

Step 2: When mustard seeds pop up add cumin seeds, ginger-garlic-green chili paste and fry for about a minute.

Step 3: Add turmeric powder and mix well. 

Step 4: Pluck tender leaves of harbhara and wash them well.

Step 5: Blend the leaves into coarse paste and add it.

Step 6: Add besan and fry together for about 5-6 minutes.

Step 7: Add water, salt, peanut powder and mix well.

Step 8: Cover and cook for about 7-8 minutes. The sabzi is all ready.
