Ingredients

Set Dosa

  • 1 cup thick Poha
  • 1 cup Rava
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 2 1/2 cup Water
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Fruit salt
  • Oil

Tomato Chutney

  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 4~5 Garlic cloves
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 sliced Onion
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 3~4 Dry red chilies
  • 3~4 Beet slices
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • Pinch of Hing
  • Curry leaves

Instructions

Set Dosa

Step 1: Blend poha, rava together into powder in mixer and transfer it into a bowl.

Step 2: Add curd, water, salt and mix everything well together. The batter should have pouring consistency.

Step 3: Cover and rest that batter for about 10 minutes.

Step 4: Add fruit salt and mix in quickly

Step 5: Heat up a pan on medium heat and brush oil.

Step 6: Add ladleful batter into the pan and spread it a little

Step 7: When lower side is roasted well take it off on wire rack. Set dosa is all ready.

Tomato Chutney

Step 8: Heat up oil in a pan and add garlic, curry leaves, onion, tomatoes, dry red chilies, beet.

Step 9: Fry everything well together for about 7-8 minutes.

Step 10: Turn off the gas and let the mixture cool down.

Step 11: Transfer the mixture into a blender jar and add salt.

Step 12: Blend into puree. Avoid use of water while blending.

Step 13: Heat up oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. 

Step 14: When mustard seeds pop up add cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves.

Step 15: Add blended chutney into the pan and mix well.

Step 16: Cook the chutney for about 2-3 minutes.  Tomato chutney is all ready.

 

Notes

  • You can use 1/4 tsp baking soda in place of fruit salt.
  • You can make 20 set dosa from the proportion we used.
