Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup roasted Chana dal
  • 1/2 cup grated dry Coconut
  • 1 tbsp white Sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp Poppy seeds
  • 1 cup Gudh / Jaggery
  • 1/4 cup Ghee
  • Cardamom powder
  • Nutmeg powder

Roasted chana dal ladoo

Instructions

Step 1: Heat up a pan on medium heat and add roasted chana dal.

Step 2: Roast until the color is changed a little and transfer into a dish.

Step 3: In the same pan roast dry coconut, white sesame seeds, poppy seeds until it get light golden color.

Step 4: Turn off the gas and let the mixture cool down a little.

Step 5: Blend roasted chana dal into powder in mixer and transfer it into a dish.

Step 6: Add the coconut mixture into the chana dal powder and mix well.

Step 7: Heat up a pan on medium heat and add gudh, ghee.

Step 8: Let the gudh melt. We don’t want syrup.

Step 9: When gudh melts add cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and mix well.

Step 10: Turn off the gas and add dal mixture.

Step 11: Mix in quickly and let it cool down a little.

Step 12: Take a little mixture and roll ladoos into cylinder shape. Tambitache ladoos are all ready.

Step 13: Press a little at the center of one end to place ghee vaat and light it up.

Step 14: You can store these ladoos in an airtight container for about 2-3 weeks.

  • You can roll ladoos in regular round shape too.
  • These have shelf life of about 2-3 weeks.
