Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup grated dry Coconut
  • 1/2” chopped Ginger
  • 5~6 Garlic cloves
  • Coriander leaves
  • 2 chopped Tomatoes
  • 2 medium size chopped Onions
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Sunday masala
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Besan
  • Water
  • Salt to taste
  • Soya chunks
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves

Soya chunks curry

Instructions

Step 1: Blend dry coconut, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves, tomato, onions together into puree. Vatan or masala is ready.

Step 2: Heat up oil in a pan and add the blended masala.

Step 3: Fry the masala well on medium heat at for lease 10-12 minutes

Step 4: When all the moisture is removed from the masala and it begins to release oil, add Sunday masala, red chili powder and mix well.

Step 5: Move the masala along the edge of the pan and add besan at the center.

Step 6: Roast the besan for about a minute and mix it well with the masala.

Step 7: Add water, salt and mix well. Bring the mixture to boil.

Step 8: Drop the soya chunks into the boiling gravy and mix well.

Step 9: Cover and simmer the gravy on medium heat for about 7-8 minutes.

Step 10: Turn off the gas and soya chunks masala is ready. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Notes

  • Avoid use of water while blending the mixture.
  • You can serve it with bhakari or chapatti or fulka.
  • If you soak soya chunks in water then the taste and flavor of the gravy is not absorbed into it. So to make the chunks tasty don't soake the chunks in water.
