Healthy Palak Paneer Paratha

Palak paneer paratha is a very healthy recipe. It is easy and simple recipe. We as moms keep on thinking what to pack for kids’ lunch box? It should be healthy and tasty at the same time. It must look tempting. So here I am to help you out. Palak paneer paratha is one such recipe. It is healthy too as it contains spinach and paneer. This can be a good breakfast or lunch box option. It tastes just awesome. It turns out nice and crispy and remains so longer time. This is a very easy and quick recipe. This method is inspired by Afgani bolani recipe which I have posted in 2018. You can try this recipe at home.

This is a healthy and tasty recipe. In the paratha dough palak is added and the stuffing is spiced paneer. This is a protein rich recipe. We are not using maida for the dough but wheat flour. Also we are not rolling the paratha in round shape but in a triangular shape. we already have seen few paratha recipes. This is yet another healthy and tasty addition to the list.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated Paneer
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Green chili paste
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • 2 cups Wheat flour
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Green chili paste
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Ajwain / Carom seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 cups finely chopped Palak / Spinach
  • Water
  • Rice flour
  • Oil

Easy palak paneer paratha

Instructions

Step 1: In a bowl mix paneer, garlic paste, green chili paste, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, coriander leaves well together and stuffing for paratha is ready.

Step 2: Mix wheat flour, garlic paste, green chili paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, salt well together and add palak.

Step 3: Mix palak well with the flour and add a little water at a time to knead semisoft dough.

Step 4: Take out small portion from the dough and make it smooth and even.

Step 5: Sprinkle dry flour on the rolling board and place the dough ball on it.

Step 6: Roll paratha from it and fill in the stuffing at the center.

Step 7: Fold the paratha in triangular shape and seal the edges well.

Step 8: Sprinkle rice flour again on the paratha and roll it again. Roll the paratha carefully.

Step 9: Heat up a skillet on medium heat and transfer the paratha on it.

Step 10: Roast paratha well from both sides on medium to high heat.

Step 11: When lower side is roasted well flip the paratha over and spread oil on upper surface.

Step 12: When the other side is roasted well flip the paratha over and spread oil on this side too.

Step 13: When paratha is roasted well from both sides take it off on a wire rack. Palak paneer paratha is all ready.

Notes

  • You can use palak puree too in place of finely chopped palak.
  • You can use ghee in place of oil.
  • You can have this paratha as it is or it goes well with sauce or chutney or pickle.
