This is a real quick recipe. It doesn’t need lot many ingredients. You can make it from very few ingredients those are readily available in your pantry.This rassa bhaji vatan or masala is very flavorful. The basic ingredients are onion, garlic and dry coconut along with some spices. It looks nice and gives fantastic taste and texture to the sabzi.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated dry Coconut
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 250 gm slices Onion
  • 10 Garlic cloves
  • 1/2” chopped Ginger
  • 2 tbsp Sunday masala
  • 2 tbsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 cup roasted Chana dal

Rassa bhajicha vatan

Instructions

Step 1: Heat up a pan on medium heat and add dry coconut.

Step 2: Roast until coconut gets light golden color and transfer it into a dish.

Step 3: In the same pan heat up oil and add onion, garlic, ginger and fry together until onion gets nice golden color.

Step 4: Turn off the gas and Sunday masala, roasted coconut, roasted chana dal.

Step 5: Mix everything well together and let the mixture cool down completely.

Step 6: Transfer the mixture into a blender jar and blend it into paste. Avoid use of water while blending. Rassa bhaji vatan is all ready.

Step 7: You can store the vatan in an airtight container in freeze. It has shelf life of about a month.

 

Notes

  • You can use any other masala that you use regularly at home in place of Sunday masala.
  • You can roast 1 tbsp besan and use it in place of roasted chana dal.
  • You can add the spices while making sabzi if you don’t want to use them in this vatan.
