Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Bajra flour
  • A pinch of Salt
  • Water
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Hing
  • 1 tsp Green chili-Garlic paste
  • A pinch of Turmeric powder
  • 2 cups Fenugreek leaves
  • Water
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Ghee

Winter special Divashi

Instructions

Step 1: Mix bajra flour and salt well and add a little water at a time to knead semisoft dough.

Step 2: Make small katoris or divashi from the dough and keep it aside.

Step 3: Heat up oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, hing, green chili-garlic paste and fry well.

Step 4: Add turmeric powder and mix well.

Step 5: Wash fenugreek leaves well and chop them finely.

Step 6: Add fenugreek leaves and fry well.

Step 7: Add water, salt and bring it to boil.

Step 8: When the mixture begins to boil add ghee and mix well.

Step 9: Add the bajra divashi and cover the pan.

Step 10: Cook it together on medium heat for about 10 minutes.

Step 11: Turn off the gas and methi divashi is all ready.

Notes

  • Serve methi divashi with lot of ghee.
  • You can serve roasted papad and pickle along with it if you want.
