Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Poha
  • 2~3 chopped Green chilies
  • 2~3 Garlic cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Ajwain / Carom seeds
  • 1 cup Jawar flour
  • Turmeric powder
  • Red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander powder
  • Water
  • Grated Carrot
  • Finely chopped Fenugreek leaves
  • Oil

Instructions

Step 1: Blend poha, green chilies, garlic, cumin seeds together into fine powder.

Step 2: Take jawar flour in a bowl and add blended powder.

Step 3: Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, coriander powder and mix well.

Step 4: Add a little water at a time and mix well to make batter. The batter should have pouring consistency.

Step 5: Add carrot, fenugreek leaves and mix well.

Step 6: Heat up a pan on medium heat and spread oil on it.

Step 7: Add a ladleful batter and spread it a little.

Step 8: When dhirde is roasted well from lower side, spread oil on upper side and flip it over.

Step 9: When the dhirde is roasted well from the other side take it off on a wire rack. Jwariche dhirde is all ready.

Notes

  • You can use the veggies and decide the quantity of them according to your choice.
  • If you see some cracks on the dhirde or if you feel it is too dry then you can cover and cook it for about a minute or two.
  • You can have it as it is or serve it with coconut chutney or green chili thecha or red chili thecha.
