Ingredients

  • 2 cups of frozen or fresh shredded coconut
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cardamom powder
  • pinch of Nutmeg powder
  • Assorted nuts
  • Puff Pastry sheets or Frozen Paratha
  • Tutti Fruity 1/4 cup

Instructions

  • Add shredded coconut to the pan and fry over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Add sugar, mix well and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Add cardamom powder, dry fruits, nutmeg (add some roasted sooji in filling if required), and mix well.
  • Finally, add tutti fruity and wait till the time mixture becomes cool.
  • Leave frozen paratha (or puff pastry sheets) at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Cut paratha in two rounds, one bigger and other little small in size.
  • Put stuffing over paratha, spread evenly, and place another piece of paratha over the filling and seal its edges using a drop of water.
  • Now bake over 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes and after 30 minutes turn off the oven and leave the tray in a hot oven for another 15 minutes.

Notes

  • The time to defrost the paratha or pastry sheet varies depending on humidity, temperature.
  • Do not overcook mixture after adding sugar into it otherwise, it will become too hard.
