Ingredients

  • 1~2 tsp Ghee
  • Chopped Dry nuts (Almonds, Cashew nuts)
  • 2 tsp Rice
  • 1/2 liter Milk
  • Few Saffron strands
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 Mango
  • 1 tsp Sugar

 

Instructions

Step 1: Take ghee in a pan and add dry fruits, rice.

Step 2: Roast everything together for about a minute.

Step 3: Add milk and everything cook together until rice is nicely cooked for about 15-20 minutes.

Step 4: Keep on stirring the milk at regular intervals.

Step 5: Add saffron and mix well.

Step 6: When rice is cooked well add sugar and mix well.

Step 7: Cook kheer for another 3-4 minutes until sugar dissolves completely.

Step 8: Turn off the gas and let the kheer cool down completely.

Step 9: Chop mango into pieces and add sugar depending upon the sweetness of the mango.

Step 10: Blend it together into puree in mixer.

Step 11: When the kheer has cooled down completely add the mango puree and mix well.

Step 12: Add few mango pieces and rice mango kheer is all ready.

 

Notes

  • Do not use whole grain rice. Try to use tukada or kani rice so that you don’t need to blend the rice in mixer.
  • You can store this kheer in freeze for about 2 days.
  • You can store kheer without pulp in freeze for about 4-5 days.
