Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • A pinch of Hing
  • 7~8 grated Garlic cloves
  • Curry leaves
  • 2 tsp Sunday masala
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/2 cup roasted Peanut powder
  • Water
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves (Optional)

Quick Solapuri shenga aamti

Instructions

For Dhokla

Step 1: Heat up oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.

Step 2: When mustard seeds pop up add cumin seeds, hing, garlic and mix well.

Step 3: Add curry leaves and fry for about a minute.

Step 4: Add Sunday masala, red chili powder and fry well.

Step 5: Add roasted peanut powder and fry well for about a minute.

Step 6: Add water, salt and mix well.

Step 7: Simmer on medium heat for about 7-8 minutes.

Step 8: Turn off the gas and add coriander leaves.

Step 9: Mix well and amti is all ready.

Traditional Solapur shenga aamti

Notes

  • You can use Sopaluri masla or any other masala you use regularly at home.
  • Adding coriander leaves is optional. You can skip it if you don't want. 
  • You can have it with bhakri or it goes well with rice too.
