Ingredients

  • 1 Potato
  • 1 med size Lauki or Bottle Gourd
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1 tap Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • pinch of hing
  • 5 to 6 Curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 slit Green Chillies
  • 1 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Peel lauki as well as potato and cut into bite-sized cubes.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, pinch of hing, curry leaves, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute till raw smell from ginger-garlic goes away.
  • Add tomatoes and cook for two minutes.
  • Add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chill powder, green chillies, mix and again cook for 2 minutes.
  • Now add chopped potatoes and lauki, mix, sprinkle some salt, add some water, cover and pressure cook until 1 whistle.
  • Garnish with some garam masala and chopped coriander leaves.
