Ingredients

  • 1 large Potato
  • 1 cup Cauliflower florets
  • 1 large finely chopped Onion
  • 1 finely chopped Tomato
  • 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 slit Green chili
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves

Instructions

  • Peel the potato and chop it into medium size pieces.
  • Cut flower into medium size pieces and wash them well.
  • Heat up oil in a pan.
  • Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  • Add onion and fry it well until it turns light golden.
  • When onion begin to turn light golden add tomato, green chili, ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala and mix well.
  • Cook for about 4-5 minutes until tomato turn a little soft.
  • Add potato, salt and mix well.
  • Add very little water and mix well.
  • Cover and cook on medium heat for about 7-8 minutes.
  • Open the lid and mix well at the intervals so that it won’t stick to the pan.
  • When potato is almost cooked add flower and mix well.
  • You can add matar if you like.
  • Cover and cook on medium heat for another 7-8 minutes.
  • Open the lid and mix the sabzi at the intervals.
  • Open the lid and garnish with lot of finely chopped coriander leaves.
  • Aloo gobi masala is already.
  • You can have this aloo gobi masla with poli, fulka or rice.
