Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • A Cinnamon stick
  • 3~4 Black peppercorns
  • Curry leaves
  • Finely chopped Onion
  • 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
  • Finely chopped Tomato
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Besan
  • Cauliflower florets
  • Chopped Potato
  • Fresh peas
  • Water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat up oil in a cooker.
  • Add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
  • Add bay leaves, cinnamon, black peppercorns, curry leaves, onion and mix well.
  • Fry on medium heat for about 7-8 minutes until onion gets light golden color.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste, tomato and fry for another 3-4 minutes until tomato cooks soft.
  • Add coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder and cook for just 2 minutes until masala releases oil.
  • When masale begin to release oil, take them aside in the pan.
  • Add besan in the pan and fry for about 2 minutes.
  • Mix besan well with the masala.
  • Add cauliflower florets, potato, peas and mix well.
  • Add water, salt and mix well.
  • Close the lid and cook on medium heat until 1 whistle.
  • Open the lid and mix the sabzi once well.
  • Aloo gobi curry is all ready.
  • You can have this with chapatti, paratha, roti and puri too.
