Being locked down in the house, it is difficult to go out to get something. We require dahi many times and don’t have much time in hand to set. So, here is a shortcut for you to set the dahi in just about 2 hours. Follow this method only in imergency. You can try this at home and drop a comment for me. Ingredients

  • 1/2 liter full cream Milk
  • A piece of Alum
  • 2 tsp Dahi / Curd

Instructions

  • Heat up milk in a pan and bring it to boil.
  • When the milk boils, turn off the gas and mix it once.
  • Let the milk cool down to lukewarm. Do not cool it down completely.
  • When the milk is lukewarm drop a piece of alum in it and stir it for about a minute.
  • Alum gives nice thickness to dahi.
  • Take the piece of alum out and add dahi in it.
  • Mix well for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour out the milk into a bowl.
  • Heat up cooker for about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the bowl of curd into hot cooker and close the lid.
  • Place the cooker under hot sun for about 2 hours.
  • Open the cooker and dahi is all ready.
