Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chinch / Tamarind
  • 1 cup Jaggery / Gudh
  • Water
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp Chat masala
  • 1/2 tsp Rock salt

Instructions

  • Take tamarind into a cooker pot.
  • Add jaggery, water, red chili powder, cumin powder, chat masala, and rock salt.
  • You can use dates if you want.
  • Transfer the pot into cooker and cook on medium heat until 1 whistle.
  • Take the pot out mash everything well with masher.
  • When the mixture thickens up strain it through a strainer into a bowl.
  • You can use the pulp as it is now.
  • Transfer the pulp that is left behind in the strainer into a bowl.
  • Add a little water and mash it well again.
  • Again strain the pulp through strainer into the previous pulp.
  • Chutney is all ready.
  • You can add water in this and use for panipuri or use as it is to add on bhel.
