Ingredients

  • 2 Leg pieces
  • 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder
  • 2 ~3 tsp Curd
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder
  • 2~3 tsp Corn flour

Instructions

  • Wash the leg pieces really good and dry them.
  • Make few slits from both sides on the chicken so that msala will be well absorbed in it.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder and rub it really good to chicken from all sides.
  • The spices should go inside the slits.
  • Cover and transfer the chicken into freeze for at least 1 hour to marinate.
  • Take the chicken out and add curd, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, red chili powder, corn flour on it.
  • Use thick or hung curd.
  • Corn flour gives nice binding and crisp to chicken. Do not skip the corn flour.
  • You can use rice flour in place of corn flour.
  • Add oil on all these masalas and mix everything well together.
  • Rub the mixture well from both sides of chicken.
  • Coat the chicken well with those spices.
  • Cover and marinate for at least 3-4 hours in freeze.
  • It is the best if you marinate the chicken over night.
  • Add a little water at the base of the pressure cooker.
  • Put an empty pot at the base.
  • Place the cooker dish or any other dish on it.
  • Place the pieces on chicken on the dish.
  • Close the lid and cook on medium heat until 3 whistles.
  • You can brush a little oil on the chicken of you want.
  • Place a wooden charcoal on the gas flame and turn on the gas.
  • Insert a skewer in the cooked chicken and roast well from all sides on the gas until it gets nice crisp.
  • Tandoor chicken is all ready.
