Sodyachi chutney is a very easy and simple recipe. This can be a good side dish with any non veg recipe. This is a super quick recipe which required minimum ingredients. It tastes simply superb. Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried Sode
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1 finely chopped Onion
  • 1 tsp Malvani masala
  • Red chili powder
  • Water
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves

Instructions

  • Take dry sode into a strainer and wash them really good with water 4-5 times.
  • Soak washed sode in enough water for about 5-7 minutes so that they will become a little soft.
  • Heat up oil in a pan.
  • Add onion and fry until it gets nice golden color. When onion gets nice golden color.
  • Add malvani masala, red chili powder and mix well.
  • You can use any other masala available at your home like garam masala or kala masala in place of malvani masala.
  • Add soaked sode and mix well.
  • Add a little about 2 tsp water and mix well.
  • Add salt and mix well.
  • Add salt carefully as sea fish contains salt. Your recipe may taste salty.
  • Cover and cook for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Cook sode for about 10 minutes on medium heat.
  • At the intervals take the lid off and mix well.
  • Add a little water if required and again cover and cook.
  • Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Sodyachi chutney is all ready.
  • You can have this chutney with chapatti or as a side dish with other non veg dish.
