Chatpatit Hirvya Mirchichi Bhaji

Hirvya mirchichi bhaji is an easy and testy recipe. This is pungent and a side dish. You can have it like pickle or chutney. You will get lot many tips to make this bhaji perfect. Some Interesting facts about Chatpatit Hirvya Mirchichi Bhaji :-

Hirvya mirchichi bhaji can be made less pungent. If you use right kind of green chili then it won’t be too pungent. Prefer to use parrot green chilies as these are not too pungent. But if you want your sabzi to be too pungent then use dark green chilies.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Besan
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Hing
  • Chopped Green chilies
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Sugar (Optional)
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves

Easy Green chilli sabzi

Instructions

Step 1: Heat up a pan on medium heat and add besan.

Step 2: Roast besan really good on medium heat for about 5-6 minutes.

Step 3: When nice aroma begins to release from besan add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder and mix well.

Step 4: Turn off the gas and keep the mixture aside.

Step 5: Heat up oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.

Step 6: When mustard seeds pop up add cumin seeds and let it splutter.

Step 7: Add fennel seeds, hing and mix well.

Step 8: Add green chilies and mix well.

Step 9: Fry it for a few seconds.

Step 10: When chilies begin to get light spotting, it means they are about to get cook. Avoid overcooking chilies.

Step 11: Add roasted besan, salt and mix well.

Step 12: Cover and cook on low heat for about 8-10 minutes.

Step 13: Add sugar and mix well.

Step 14: Add coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 15: Hirvya mirchichi bhaji is all ready.

Step 16: You can have it as side dish like chutney, koshimbir.

Step 17: You can store it in freeze for about 4-5 days.

Notes

  • Avoid using dark green chilies as they are pungent. Use parrot green chilies which are comparatively less pungent.
  • If you feel the mixture is too dry add just 1-2 tsp water and mix well.
  • But try to avoid use of water. Moisture in chilies in enough.
  • Adding sugar is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
